For grabbing resource URLs and logging responses and such in firefox I use the httpfox addon, but sometimes I want to see what sort of requests are being made by other programs (updaters/patchers and the like, so I can grab direct links to files if/when the patcher messes up).

Is there any program to do this as easily as httpfox works within firefox?

Tools like netstat and process explorer only get me the domain/IP being connected to, not the URls being communicated with.

Yes there's computer-global tools like wireshark, but I'd prefer to just listen to what a single program is doing (instead of the entirety of my networking card), and filtering through that crap is annoying.

Once TCPview which is basically netstat with a nicer GUI fails to do what I need I do usually just lock down my computer and run wireshark or something or get a full firewall. Still although by program I can not really do save for the firewall stuff but http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/http_network_sniffer.html might be more up your street (also some of the other nirsoft stuff).

Okay, as far as HTTP/S stuff goes, this seems to work wonderfully.

EDIT: Particular because you can filter by program, and it shows the URLs and headers.

As for something within Chrome, it has it's own tool (F12 - Networking) that seems good enough.
