Also, since game says save is corrupted, is there a button combo I press to reset save?

You would have to dump your entire ROM, rename it to .3dz instead of .3ds, and then just play it. If you want to use the same save with a CIA, you'd have to go one step further and use SDF to dump the save to your 3DS' SD card, and then re-import it for your CIA.

You cannot use retail cards with SDF in gateway mode yet.

Okay, so I've got both savedatafiler and my dumped ORAS game on my 3ds. I'm a bit of a noob with SDF (SaveDataFiler). How would I go about dumping it?

this might or might not be possible depending on the encryption used on your save.
when you dump your game, the save comes included. you can try to use savedatafiler to extract the save in raw format, then start a new game in gateway and inject the save again

As I said before, first you have to dump the game to create a rom though. Then rename the extension from .3ds to .3dz.
Then do what it's said in the guide that I linked

Did you push home to go back to the menu and load your ORAS rom from the gateway select menu? Just making sure. Also, what system nand version is your 3DS on, and what sysnand or emunand version did you play the game on?

as daxtsu said, this might be because you didn't load the game before entering savedatafiler (the icon needs to appear in the home menu) or it might be because of your save encryption which if it's not compatible might render this process useless

Assuming you use a .3ds/.3dz and not a CIA: Basically you load SDF, hit home, pick ORAS from your gateway ROM list, go back into SDF, then where it says CTR CARD, you press X to extract the save to your 3DS's SD card. After that, you can either turn off the 3DS and connect the SD card to your computer, or use ftpony/ftbrony to move the game's "main" file over to your PC and edit it, then put it back. After that, go back into SDF and re-import it.

If you're using a CIA of ORAS, just load SDF via gateway or a CIA, then export your save, edit it, and re-import it (same as above, use ftpony/ftbrony or just move the sd to your PC).

Not exactly a step by step, but using SDF isn't really rocket science. If you need more help, just post back..

Also, to delete your save, boot ORAS holding up + B + x.

Make sure your rom's extension ends with .3dz then, and not .3ds since you dumped it yourself.

No, CTR card is your gateway. Retail cards don't work in Gateway mode with SDF, so that's why it's important to make sure your rom is selected on the home screen by pressing select before you start SaveDataFiler. Is your rom ending in .3dz? Make sure its extension is .3dz and not .3ds. The only other reason it likely would be "corrupted" is if you dowgraded your sysnand to 4.x after having played ORAS on 6.x+. As long as it's not a case of playing it on too new of a firmware, it should just be because of bad renaming. That's how my save was. Y claimed my save was corrupted, but I renamed it to PokemonY.3dz and bang, it worked.

Should be fine, yes. Just make periodic backups of it with SDF just in case your SD card ever bites the dust. Then your [probably] hundreds of hours and Pokés won't die off.
