Hacking How to use CIA files?

I got around to getting the CFW to work and I have the dev tool installed.

What I am wanting to do now is dump my Pokemon Y ROM and make a bootable CIA file out of it. I can find a tutorial on how to dump and make a CIA file, but I have no clue what to do with the CIA file I make.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

First off Pokemon Y does not work due to it using cart2/6.x encrption. What I suggest is finding a cia site and make sure it's FW spoofed/usuable on 4.5.

I suggest you download CIAs instead of making them yourself due to if you make them yourself you have to decrpt the rom and such, let me google that for you (if this isn't aloud i'll remove it)

Turns out the Dev Menu was what I was looking for the whole time. It kept freezing the first few times I loaded it so I thought the files were crashing the thing.
