Hacking How to restore NAND.bin?

Question. If you create a nand backup then downgrade, can you restore the backup once you're on 9.2 to go back to 10.3 for example?
In case the downgrade partially downgrades?

To open the Gateway menu you have to be on 9.2 or less. The only way to get a backup of 10.3 is to have a hardmod installed.

xD I only asked because I keep hearing someone mentioning having a backup before downgrading, so I thought they used emunand9 or something. But it makes sense now.
