Hacking How to prevent 2ds from updating

I just purchased a new 2ds and was wondering what settings need to be off to prevent accidentally updating my system. Thanks

Welcome to GBATemp.

You can disable spotpass for one, another thing would be to remove all internet connections from the settings. You can find a lot more info on this in the sticked threads too, so feel free to look around.

Also please be careful when you pass by a Nintendo Zone.

I don't know. I've heard Nintendo Zones can break in the 3DS and download the update. If you passed by a Nintendo Zone (to get streetpasses), it may be downloading the update at the same time. If this happens, just click B or "No" when the 2DS nags you to update to the latest FW. It will be usually a popup. Also there is no way you can click "Yes" accidentaly

Well at least you may get some Streetpasses. offtopic: I got my first Streetpass (2, in fact), streetpassing is so addicting xD
