Questio not worth for a proper thread.

I have a 1TB external hard drive (it's chinese, but so far has worked properly withou any issues)
And I want to format it to FAT32 in order to use it on my Wii because It's been gathering dust for pretty much a year now.
I use it rarely to transfer files when I format my Laptop... but I want to use it AND add games for my Wii.

So, 2 questions:

- Which is the best format to format the hardrive? I want complete compatibility with files over 4GB on my drive.
- What software can I use to do so?

fat32 can't use files over 4GBs, but wii backup manager will split the game in half as wbfs and wff1, so it doesn't matter. I use fat32 formatter gui I believe.

Yes,with an Partition Tool like @BigOnYa mentioned (AOMEI Partition Assistant for Example).
Depending on the Data you have already on it,the Process can take a few Minutes up to a few Hours.^_~

Please use a seperate HDD (with no other Data) for the Wii.

@alexander1970

Really? Because I wanted to keep my files such as PDF, pictures and videos of Oso, Théo, Luna and Kiki and at the same time having a FAT32 partition to use for Wii.

Yes,really.^_~

Recommended partitioning your HDD ? Depending on how much Data you have already have on it -> Not really.
Recommended HDD with mixed Data from different "Systems "for the Wii -> Not really.
