Gaming How much watts is your computer power supply?

I getting confuse about watts

UK household main plug are 240v output and I'm using OCZ gamexstream 700w for my main PC...

Someone told me the higher your PC main Watts the cost of more bills... this is true?
my power supply (OCZ gamexstream) provide Active PFC to effectively...
what dose that really do?

That is untrue. It depends more on how much your CPU plus mobo plus devices consumes. You can have a 500 Watt and a 1000 Watt consume the same electricity with the same system. You have to see how much the CPU+Video Card+Other crap will cost you in electricity. A normal modern multi core CPU alone should cost you about 100 Watts.

(UK Plug 240v output - PSU 700watts) = Number of PC slot parts = watts use + Time = Number cost of electricity

so what dose PFC effectively ~ help me? - lower my cost of electricity or it just a green house things?

I used to leave my PC over night to download some huge file and thought it waste of electricity having a powerful PC on all night...
so wonder if best to built a pc used 'less watts' to do over night download... and save me cost electricity bills in the future.

probably get a laptop they about 75w
