Hardware How good is my rig?

SO I recently got a Toshiba Satellite A505 for $400 off Ebay and I want to know how good it is in the aspect of playing PC games and Emulations and being an overall laptop

Here are some specs
Intel i7 processor
Nvidia Geforce 310M
4 GB of ram
500gb harddrive

So is this any good...how good is it.....did I waste my money?

As far as gaming goes, meh.

If you're into older games and some emulation, you'll be OK.

For gaming, it sucks. For CPU based programs like my dad's chess program, it's pretty awesome. For general things like watching movies, emails, office work or general Internet, it's fine.
