So I saw that there was a Wireless Wavebird Controller for the Wii. It was basically a GameCube controller but it was wireless for the Wii.

I was wondering how compatible it was with the Wii. I have never used it before, so I was curious if it was good enough to play emulators, and work with the Wii it's self. It was developed by a third party company so I am just curious.

It should work, yeah. I used a wireless Gamecube controller once on my Wii (don't remember who made it), but it worked.

Just plug in the wireless transmitter into one of the controller ports and you're done.

Something cool I have is called the Wired Fight Pad from nintendo. Basically you plug it into a wii remote for power and it's pretty much a gc controller. Only difference is it has one extra shoulder button and a plus and minus button. It works on Wii.U Also! Great smash controller. IMO it's better because you buy it with a theme of a nintendo character and the buttons just all feel better and it just works!

It doesn't work with online games well, as a warning.

That makes no sense, it should work as well as any Gamecube controller, since that's what it is. Also, Wii online was taken down, wasn't it?

The only real issue is a minor one that most people don't care about. The wavebird does not support rumble.

I'd tell you why the warbird doesn't work as well as a regular GC controller, but I'm too lazy. Someone else tell him.

The Wavebird is developed by Nintendo, not third party.

I play online still (Wiimfii.) So if I play Mario Kart in Single Player, or Multi Player would that not work?

Personally I tried playing Smash U for glory and it's shit.

So you never tried this on a Wii Online? I guess the only way to know would be legitmately buying it, and testing it. Only thing I can think of is why it would not work online is Compatibillity issues? (Control commands are not being sent to the Wiimfii Server?) Other than that I don't see a reason WHY it would not work.

I can smell some trolls here

Wireless interference is my theory.

Wireless interference is my theory.

It seems that the issue is caused by a wireless interferance. This doesn't seem to be like an issue with network interferences with the remote. Becuase it works fine, it's just when you output commands (controls.) To the Wii it causes major FPS Lag.

Uhh... Is Nintendo serious screwing us over, or am I missing something?

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
