Have you already solved your problem? If not, as far as I know u can update the console even if is jailbroken, make a search before doing it, but I think it don't have any problem doing that, another thing is that depending on the type of the file, u can update a game by .cia, example, u can install a .cia update for Pokemon Ultra Sun "v.1.2" by .cia, just put in the folder using your computer, and go to the 3ds and install the .cia, probably it will works, in Citra is kinda similar, so really easy!

You can only update via eshop if it is the game is same region as the ehop, outside of that you have to resort to cia for update. Not like Nintendo really care about the 3DS these day, as long you don't cheat in online game like Smash you probably be fine.

i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect

Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.+1
