Hacking How can I restore a save?

I was using the Gateway menu to backup my saves so i could transfer them to my emunand versions, and then restore them with gateway once I was done. But, with Smash Bros. I somehow managed to click backup cartridge instead of save, so I'm looking for a way to get my save off the digital version and put it back on my cartridge. Is there a way to do this, or am I screwed?

Copy the digital version's save file from your Nintendo 3DS folder, rename it to the format the gateway supports and try restoring, not sure if it's going to work though.

I looked around, and I didn't see anything that even looks like a save file in there.

Are you using a n3ds or o3ds? Either way I find it's easy to boot from cn to pasta then use ntr to rip the save. Once done boot emunand and write the save with ntr to the rom
