29.12 GibiBytes (or 32 GigaBytes) for full NAND including user partition. 2GB for just system.
You own a Switch and don't know the size of your NAND....
No... A raw NAND backup is 29GB.
Nevermind... Apparently, I just need to keep my mouth shut, today.
Most don't, and it isn't apparently obvious, either.
No, it's 32GB which is 29.1GiB.
So I will need a memory card bigger than 32GB to backup?
Apparently we have a lot of space nazi's in the sub. 3GB isn't much to complain about in the year 2018, but I fixed my post for everyone concerned about it.
Touché. I have redacted my post.
But if we're being technical, 29.1GiB = 31.24589GB (according to Google conversion, anyway).
nope, it should fit quite snugly if its empty
It should fit on a 32 card.
To be more exactly, on windows it throws 29,1 GB (31.268.536.320 bytes).
I also recommend to do a CRC after doing a backup in case you have to move the backup and be sure it's integrity is still correct.
I need to buy an sd and haven't even entered rom yet. So what? Just wanted to know size so I could buy an sd that works
According to @rajkosto (and I actually believe him), it's 29.1 "GiB", not "GB".
Windows displays GiB but says GB because people get weirded out at GiB (31268536320 bytes is correct)
