Gaming Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun

Arc System Works and Million are remaking the arcade classic Renegade for Nintendo 3DS under the name Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun Special.

The game uses sprites instead of 3D models. While the game looks different from Renegade, a version of the arcade game with new Kunio-Kun graphics is on the cartridge. Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun Special also has a brand new story mode with RPG-like character growth elements. I suppose that makes this game mode more like River City Ransom.

Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun Special also has a multiplayer mission mode, four player battle royal, and a gallery mode covering the entire series.

Why remake Renegade now? It’s the 25th anniversary of the Kunio-Kun series. Hot Blooded Tough Guy Kunio-Kun is slated for release later this year in Japan.

Wasn't this game where the main char was some sort of delinquent and had to beat up other schools or something like that?
I think I played one of the games of this series on the Snes, one that had been fan-translated.
Well, from the vid it seems like a fun game to play, hope this one reaches Europe and America since ASW are working on them.

Well, both River City Super Sports Challenge and River City Soccer Hooligans released on DS here in the States, so it could happen.
