Believe it or not, I just discovered the grid view in the homebrew channel. It's been around for quite a while, yet no one has mentioned any way to set the grid view as the default. Does anyone have any clues about how to do this? Maybe a priiloader hack, if nothing else?

Both of the things mentioned above are my biggest (only?) wishes for the HBC, a way to save default USB or SD and saving of view type/sorting as well, and USB 2 speeds

hbc is obsolete with todays loaders. like usbloadergx. you can load games or homebrew. wiiflow might implement homebrew loading and then i just might boot to it from priiloader instead of system menu. lol

USBloaderGX is just full of clutter and feels so cumbersome I've steared clear of it for ages. Homebrew channel i still very clear and easier

Homebrew Filter looks kinda promising. Currently its kinda an open-source HBC clone, pretty similar GUI, works with same folder setup etc., its only on r4, so in a while it could get decent and then as its open source people could add these sorts of features to it.

I've always wished there was an open source hbc clone. Here it is, Homebrew Filter, wonderful.
Maybe the English version should have a better English name?

Homebrew Filter (or HBF as it is apparently abbreviated) seems like a fine name to me.

jj-kwik: What is the channel like? i.e. what does the banner look like, any screenshots?

EDIT: FYI, settings like this one will be saved in next version of HBC. Source: http://bugs.hackmii.com/index.php?do=details&task_id=217
Would have already been in had it not been rushed out for 4.2, and then a quick fix for some bugs.
When the new HackMii Installer is released for 4.3 compatibility, HBC will allow you to store the loading device and view type, and maybe (not 100% sure) allow you to disable prompt before loading homebrew (i.e. point at homebrew and press A and it'll load instantly without dialog popping up first).

gonna try that out JJ, thanks for the link. channel looks cool too. Im glad TT is taking their time instead of rushing it. Maybe itll be a lesson for those who update the second a new SM comes out. I think HBC is ready for a facelift

As previously stated in this thread, saving it was a new feature in 1.0.7

Well as it turns out I have figured out the buttons 4 the HBC v1.0.7....

Wiimote...
1 button: Options Menu (Not really much 2 choose from)
2 button: Interchange between Grid view and Regular view!

Gamecube Controller...
X button: Same as 2 button
Y button: Same as 1 button
