I'm 99% sure I used this one: homebrew_browser_v0.3.9e.zip, mainly because that's the name of the file I currently have.

I would suppose it has maybe something to do with the WiiConnect/Stand By Mode of your Wii.Because that was a common Error in that Times when WiiConnect is working.

Plese look into the Folder SD:\apps\homebrew_browser and open the settings.xml and see for the entry "setting_server." It has to be 0.

If that not helps
Please try to delete the settings.xml inside the Folder SD:\apps\homebrew_browser.

And to get really sure you used THIS Version !

An older boot.dol File is NOT WORKING !

Oh yeah so I have one more problem. When I download a game like duckhunt wii my wii remote doesn't connect, do you know how to connect it?

I am afraid not....the only Thoughts I have:
Using a Wii Motion Controller PLUS or without it.
Nunchuk attached
Maybe a GameCube Controller or Classic Controller works...
