hey! not sure how exactly to use this site very well, but seeing as reddit didn't exactly help me fix this, i thought i should take it here :^) it's not a MAJOR issue to me as i can still play my games normally, it just bugs me as i would like to use my nds forwarder.
i'm currently trying to figure out what's the matter with my homebrew launcher! i had recently opened my 3ds again after some inactivity (roughly a month or so), and when i went to use my nds forwarder, the homebrew app simply crashed. upon further investigation, FBI & the other apps associated with homebrew are functional as well, which is ever the more confusing? it also doesn't appear to be an SD card issue, as the card has worked perfectly fine before and isn't like.. a bad one or anything. it also DOES display the homebrew splash screen itself, but then a black line appears on my screen and it crashes.
i've tried: updating luma through the universal updater, and using an ftpd to reupload/replace the boot.firm & boot.3dsx files manually as i cannot access my sd card at the moment due to not having a screwdriver. ( if it really is an issue though where i need to open my 3ds, i will try and order one or find one suitable for the job ) + trying to reinstall homebrew's .3dsx file itself from the updater, as well as the pirate homebrew reskin thingamajig, to absolutely no luck. i've also tried turning off game patching and loading external firms as that was a suggestion from someone when i saw a person had a similar issue, as well as reddit also informing me to do so? but this is homebrew itself, so it probably didn't really have an effect..
my apologies if this is a really easy fix, i just really wanted to play club penguin epf and i can't find anything to forward nds files from my laptop
though if anyone has suggestions for that i would like to see them! fbi still works fine so i can at least download stuff from .cia files.
links will be provided in the comments for both a video showcasing it + the crash dump, if i can actually put those here, ( seeing as i'm a new user and all ) as this crash can be repeated multiple times unfortunately! i'm not nearly tech savvy enough for this, but i believe this may help figure out the issue if someone can sift through the crash dump?
