Erm, you forgot the

"everyone got slaughtered"? I may have to check this out!

Yes, you should. It's violently cute.

I'll put it on my cue. I have to watch Darker Than Black, Gungrave, and Trigun first though. I'm almost (sadly) done with Code Geass though, can't wait for R3 to come in 2010.
Yes it's a good series. It's different in style from Code Geass, DtB, Gungrave, etc. though. No giant robots or flashing lasers.

You should also put Death Note on your queue. It goes well with Code Geass.

Well on the subject of higurashi, anyone else reading the VN?
Pretty good, although mangagamers translation is low tier. Also, wtf did they do to the music?
Even with the music patch it's not as intense.

The PS2 sprite patch is quite good, though. Gotta love /jp/.

Oh god, their translation is so shit.
I wouldn't know about the music patch being good or not because I haven't played the Japanese one, but I unkilled myself after installing the PS2 sprite patch. Sausage fingers were fucking retarded.

I read the demo prior to mangagamers release.
Really, it's not the same, half of the time I'm raging at the translation with mangagamers.
The music is basically remixed to death to the point where it's not even fun or intimidating, too.
