anyone who played FFIV should notice a BIG similarity in the story at the beginning of this game

Playing this game up to the first save point, I think the story is a bit generic. I will continue playing and see how the gameplay is.

Why not just call it enemy or something?

Halb, kind refers to all race other that human or at least that have a visible difference, so it's not enemy per se
