Hey guys, I'm in a need of help.. I have an original R4DS and I've been trying to make this stuff work for a couple of days... I know it's possible to have a auto-boot moonshell and ysmenu combo. But I can't seem to do it.. Either I have the autoboot working and it says that nds file types are not supported or I get the YSMenu to work and have the R4 Gui at start up.

would it be possible for anyone to give me the files without YSMenu? because i know that whole thing about YSmenu wanting people to download from his site.. but could you like set it up for me because i tried to block the loader again and it just goes to an error screen..

Thanks in advance.

xD this thread looks strikingly similar to this one.

Since we will all say the same thing anyways, I'll provide you some hopefully simple instructions you can follow.

Download moonshell2.06stable either via moonlight's website (you will have to navigate to the "BitTorrent Get previous version files."): http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/moonlight/
or from this link, where I spent my time downloading it for you, in case you don't have a way to torrent the file or know how to torrent a file: http://www.mediafire.com/?gtme0mvyzkx

Get ysmenu from yasu's website obviously (seeing as you can set it up, I'll leave that to you.): http://home.usay.jp/pc/etc/nds/

Finally, you will need the ysloader which you can get here: http://filetrip.net/f4563-YSloader-For-MoonShell2.html

Now just plug in your microSD, install ysmenu (or use the one you currently have), go to your moonshell2.06stable folder and click on the "set up.exe" and of course install that. DLDI patch your moonshl2.nds/moonshl2_directboot_.nds by going to the misc folder and using the tool in the "AutoDLDIPatch" folder. Grab your patched version (will have R4DS in the name i think) and make it into your autoboot (you can use r4denc's R4enc and rename it to _DS_MENU.DAT) and place that into your card. You only need either the moonshl2.nds or the directboot, not both.
With this, both moonshell2 and ysmenu are installed, the correct versions and all. The last thing you need to do is configure the config.ini from the ysloader and obviously put the ysloader (and config file) in the extlink folder of the moonshl2 folder found on your microSD card.

If you have any problems at all, just say so, since I also have an original R4 (although my DS is busted) and I got it to work (obviously since I'm posting on moonshell2 threads a majority of the time).
