So, after not using my 4.2E launch day Wii for a while, I fired it up today. I had CFG USB Loader working with a HDD. I believe I changed something in the HDD since the last time to accommodate GameCube games as well. Loading Wii games from CFG wasn't working. It threw errors on every game. I looked them up, and results said that my cIOS were probably corrupted or outdated. So I used ModMii, ran a sysCheck and updated the Homebrew Channel, 3 cIOS and BootMii (boot2). Now the Homebrew Channel doesn't even boot from the System Menu, only from BootMii, and running CFG from there doesn't recognize the external HDD at all. Any idea regarding what may be happening? Thanks in advance
P.S. - I recall my Wii having trouble with the USB port closest to the edge, but loading games usually worked with the other one.

If the hbc boots from bootmii then it's definitely installed just fine, if it's not booting from the system menu I suspect u might also have an old custom hbc forwarder installed and u are loading that by mistake, and it is forwarding to an old homebrew channel ID which no longer exists on your console (since u updated the hbc it is now using the LULZ title ID, older versions used HAXX or JODI or another ID in hexadecimal). Search your channels to see if u find another hbc

Update: the HBC now only blackscreens when I have my HDD connected to USB0, which is malfunctioning. Connecting it to USB1 works. However, while Nintendon't recognizes it in that port, CFG and GX don't. I remember having to use specifically patched cIOS for that back in the day. Does anyone know what they might be?

I think Gx's meta.xml has an argument to change the usb port used, u just need to edit it (and uncomment it too if commented, I don't recall)
Managed to get it to recognize the HDD using that and installing d2x-alt cIOS. Now to solve the next issue: only a single GameCube game shows up. Nothing else. Any insight is appreciated, and I'll keep looking on my end. Thank you very much!

Make sure u have Nintendont save to sd or usb and nintendont enabled with proper paths in gx settings

Edit: also double check your title view settings to include gamecube games too
Nothing else included Wii games not showing up. But it was a folder structure problem. Everything is working now. Thank you very much!
