ROM Hack [HELP] SoR4 music modding

I'm interested in moving around the BGM of several stages to something more akin to SoR2. I tried extracting the music from the game files, remaning and putting them into a romfs folder for layeredfs, but the only result is that no music plays at all.

The files seem to be in a very strange format to begin with...
Any thoughts on this?
