Gaming HELP: Lego Dimensions

My son has Lego Dimensions. With Gamestop having all Fun Packs for 1/2 price, I bought several of them. I assembled the characters and he can play with them in the standard game. BUT the vehicles are not showing up. I know I have to register the vehicle in the BUILD section, however, I have no clue how to activate that section.

WHen you put the character on the portal for the first time it should have brought it up. If it didn't go to the cave *main hub aea* and go to the portal, you should have an option for "Instructions" or "Upgrade or something" that will give you the options.

Thanks, that worked.. He put the figures on but never actually controlled them. I took everyone off and just put 1 at a time and as you stated.. I was prompted for the vehicle
