Hey guys, what's up! Unfortunately my gamepad fell onto the hard concrete floor, and it still works great, but the L button is kind of funky now. It feels like it's sticky or jammed or something, and it still works, but it's hard to push down, as if I spilled soda into it and it moves with this delay like feel.

Is there anyway I could fix this so it feels like the normal L button again? I would really like to continue to use my gamepad for specific games (like Wind Waker HD). Let me know!!!

i looked up "wii u gamepad l button" on ebay and found one from a uk seller cant post link tho since im a new member

Thanks dawg, I'll try to check that out. I'm gonna disassemble it first to see if there's any physical damage

Don't disassemble it blindly, there may be fragile ribbon cables or other parts easily damaged.
I recommend watching through a disassembly/assembly video before and while doing it.

sheeeeit fatHusky who the hell is gonna sell dat :((
Not exactly eBay but you'd be surprised by what you can get on AliExpress.

First carefully examine the plastic housing around the L button and compare with the R button. It's probably bent and causing the button to jam. You can use a flathead screwdriver to bend the plastic back. If that doesn't work you'll have to open the gamepad and check the plastic parts.

I had this happen to a DSi that I dropped. The L button was stuck and I just had to bend the plastic shell back. No disassembly was required.

I replaced the joy sticks in my niece and nephews gamepad. It's pretty easy to take apart and fix. Just check ebay for a replacement button, and Youtube a video guide. Never blindly take apart something, without looking it up.

try replacing it

Wow, nice input! Wrong answer. SMH.:creep:

Try open it and fix it ? It will void your warrant unless your warrant is already expired then go for it. :P Be warn, knowing what you are doing or don't do it. Try buy a used one for cheaper. I doubt.

i meant like replacing the l button since you can buy new ones from ebay and maybe aliexpress

try replacing it
Dude you could have avoided all the hate by actually saying what you mean. If you're gonna go to the trouble of replying to someone's question, why not lift a finger and actually say what you mean instead of some vague useless gibberish?

Game pads aren't that expensive anymore so if you need to buy another one it wouldn't be TOO much of a problem.
