Hekate Visual Bug and Freezing on Erista

Has anyone else seen this issue? Booting OFW is fine but hekate freezes and has this visual glitch.
I have tried a different RP2040 and have checked the solder connections, also tried reformating SD card, and new SD card adapter.
It is a Erista console (HAC-CPU-10), both chips I tried have been flashed with v2.80

I have tried a few more things and noticed the temperature still updates when it has the visual bug and touch doesnt work so not frozen. Not sure what about this specific console causes hekate to have this issue but it doesnt seem to be an issue with the modchip or the install.

First of all, you need to figure out if it depends on a hardware problem. Start the hos and keep the console under stress with a one-hour game and see if you have any problems.

Hi @slimeinacloak , did you manage to solve that issue? I'm going through the same thing atm and I don't know what to do. I tried everything from using different SD cards or usb ports/cables to changing the SD reader on the switch and still nothing

Not completely your issue, but I have found a way to make hekate unhappy with freezing and visual glitches while toying with EMMC replacement. I either have a bad solder job or bad daughterboard. When I hot swap it into my Switch it causes Hekate to stop responding, the charge indicator goes to 0mv and 0% battery. It usually recovers if I pull the suspect EMMC board.

Having the same issue (without the drop in the battery percentage), any suggestions on how to solve it? Should I swap the board? I’m freaking out

In my case it was most certainly the EMMC replacement job. As soon as I plugged in a working on things were fine. I believe I my solder balls were too big, haven't given re-balling it another try yet.

Too bad I don't have the skills to do that. When I had the SD reader replaced the guy who did it said everything else was working fine. What is driving me insane is that I didn't do anything other than updating both the ofw and the cfw. Do you think I should bring the switch back to same guy and have the EMMC checked?

Is yours patched or unpatched? If unpatched you can boot Hekate with the EMMC unplugged. If Hekate behaves normally without the EMMC connected that would be a good indication that the problem is related. Make a backup if you can of course.
