This is just a quick mod I did using an old Game Boy system, 2.5" to USB guts and a 100GB HDD

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Very nice work. I would buy one of these for sure XD, if they were actually made by the developers >

Very cool. Would have be cool to make a hdd out of the ds as well. That way we could hae gotten some real ds to wii connectivity. *roll on snare to cymbal*

Sweet, There's this awesome game store that I am so happy to have called Videogame Star that sells old consoles and games and they have a gameboy for about 5 bucks. Dont know why I never got it but I defiantly will now.

Any rules on size or style of the media used? (ex. 2GB USB thumb drive)or must be in the Nintendo theme ?? any thing like that?

It must be classified as an antique and be media related(old music/movies/cartoon) [over 25 years of age(this just made me think of taping a usb cord to my face for the most PORTABLE caddy EVER)] you bet its on...... I know I have a cabbage patch doll around here somewhere....

I can take some more pics with my case open showing the HDD and what not if people like

woah. a nes controller with a 64 gig usb stick would be the perfect wii games harddrive, for sure. I might actually do that

a 1.8'' hdd and ide/power to usb adapter should be much cheaper and could fit in a nes controller as well.

Bonus points for having it still work as a USB controller.
(are we ever going to get USB controller support for the emulators?)
