What I did notice about beta2 there was that it says at least the installed DOL files DOES get AHBPROT patched out ... but the old hacks.ini file support was removed (which I, myself, do use) so I guess take your pick.

For some reason, Daco hasn't uploaded the updated installer code to the repository, the one used in the official v0.7 release (which DOES have HW_AHBPROT flag support). Beats me why.

Probably because the official v0.7 installer includes copy-written code from Team Twiizer's DVDx as a work around for the old HBC network init. bug.

I guess that could be a reasonable explanation... Good thing that bug was already fixed.

In any case, I only used the iospatch.c/h code from joedj that everyone is using to patch IOS at runtime. I didn't actually need the es_set_ahbprot patch from davebaol, since the HBC is now reloading IOS before loading an application, afaik. It should be safe as long as anyone uses it with HBC 1.1.0 or later.

so what CAN you actually run with AHBPROT patched out now? Is there anything PriiLoader still CAN'T do that for?

Also, I see it's version 0.8 beta 2 ... exactly HOW beta is this? Any bugs we should know about?

I have seen a handful of bricks reported from the beta 2 installer. (beta 3?, not sure)

I believe Daco blocks custom SM versions. They are no danger (in fact they offer brick protection and convenience for anyone who wants to update there IOS/channels officially without losing Priiloader), but he doesn't like them, so they go. He's weird about that.

I wonder if it only blocks v54448, 54449, 54450, 54454, or if it blocks any other versions. Funny that he cares about the version, but not so much about themes. I bet it only blocks those 4 versions, not sure though.

He said it blocks anything outside the "vanilla range", so I assume he gave enough buffer room for a new update, but capped it at around 700 or something.
