Hacking Having Issues Patching a Game on my PSTV

So I made a post within the actual game thread, but responses in there look to have been pretty few as of late so I didn't know if maybe I could get a response easier here.

I'm trying to patch Trails in the Sky FC Evolution, and I hit a snag.

Here's what I posted:
I've been stuck on step 5 for hours. I just cannot figure out how to get the eboot.bin from VitaShell to my PC. I even skipped this step and I was able to get the data.psarc just fine.

Do I need to copy the eboot.bin from FAGDec literally on Vitashell (I've pressed triangle and tried move, copy, export media, etc., and can't find any way to actually copy to to my computer)? I also tried getting on the FTP on my laptop and looking but I can't seem to access the FAGDec folder from there. I am so frustrated

If anyone can be of any assistance and help me understand this I would be super grateful!

Just use usb on vitashell. Press start and switch ftp to usb. On your pc make sure show hidden files is enabled

I'll give it a try. Now I know they said in Step 7 the data.psark MUST be transferred via FTP, so is this not the case with Step 5's eboot.bin? The USB transfer should be fine then?

It might be a guide that was around before usb was an option, you can use both nowadays it's the same.

I really just could not manage to figure out how to transfer the eboot.bin from the Playstation TV to my PC via FTP OR USB. I don't know why I struggled so much with this.

BUT, I did end up finding a prepatched file and managed to apply it, so end of the day I can now play Trails in the Sky FC Evolution in English, so it's all good.
