Hacking Hard Mod, but semi bricked... now what?

Hi All,
Picking up from an earlier thread where I have a hard modded WII via d2pro. Looks like I am semi-bricked and would like to fix this. This has been a WII which has not been powered on for many years. When I go to the WII Settings I get the marc:FIX/US/ENG/index01.html error. What are my options at this point? I cannot tell what iOS i am on so I cannot use ModMii right? I've tried AnyRegion Changer, but it also errors with
Error! ES_Identify (ret = -1017) Initializing Filesystem driver...OK! Error! ES_OpenTitleContent (ret = -1026)
I have HomeBrew Installed if that helps.

Got it. Will follow your recommendations and install modmii along with the region change. Syscheck helps as now I know the system menu version. (3.4e). Will report back success or failure. Thanks!
 
Hi @XFlak to clarify when using the ModMii wizard, it asks what is my current system region is. Do i put U or E? My system menu reports 3.4e on syscheck. If I follow through the wizard picking E (europe) it then will update to 4.1e which is not what I want ultimately, but I guess this is what I will do and then perform the modmii region change? Correct?
