I recently downloaded Halo, then it updated to 1.07, i got a noCD crack, but when i try to play multiplayer and i try to join the server, i get a message sayin You CD Key is invalid.

They propably have database of legal cdkeys

yeah i downloaded the game, i didnt feel like buying it, well i praticlly never buy games

You'd have to play on cracked servers.. I don't know how for Halo though.

Pirated copies of Halo don't work online, except on cracked servers.
But I have no idea how to find those. I doubt you'd be able to find any anymore.

Private servers for Halo 1...good luck finding more than 3 people.

I'm pretty sure it's cause someone else is using the same CD key as you in the game, so it interferes with it. I myself never figured it out though. I remember someone telling me there was another patch to get rid of the error, dunno where it is though.

Another reason why I like Xbox 360 version of games compared to PC - (pirated) games work online.
