Files can be transferred with Hekate, you don't need to pull out your SD card from your Switch. As for the firmware files, @Blythe93 was not joking when he said it's not hard to find them. Try googling "firmware download Switch".

It's not because I haven't got common sense. It's because unlike another scenario, where I can just uninstall something that didn't install correctly and redo it. With the switch I can brick it and lose save game data and everything. So I don't want to download some illegitimate/buggy software without checking first that its correct
