Gaming graphics card comparison ati or nvidia

im buying a graphics card for my pc i wanted a 512mb ati one and found a few but are getting mixed reviews about them and was wondering if you guys know anything about these and which ones are newer and older here they are

ATI Radeon x1650 Pro 512 MB DDR2 PCI-E

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD2400PRO 512MB DVI/HDTV PCI

PowerColor ATI Radeon AX3450 512MB DDR2 DVI PCI-Express

ATI X1800XT PCIE 512Mb Dual DVI Graphics

BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT 512MB DDR2 PCIe

any suggestions?

and was wondering which was newer? the ATI radeon x1650 pro or ati x1800xt because from the reviews ive seen 1650 was better but 1800 has newer model number

the x1650 is 4 generations old now. in fact they're all fairly old cards.

how much are you willing to spend on a card?

40$ cuz im buying 2gbs of ram

i have 1gb of ram right now should i spend all my money on a gfx card or get ram too?

imo, there isn't much point buying new ram these days. ddr2 prices have risen and are practically the same as ddr3.

MSI 4670 512mb, its $55 after rebate. if you dont want to spend that much, go for the 4550, iirc its about 45~. both are better than what you have listed there.
