baking? what exactly would that do?
Literally bake it in the oven. No guarantee it'll work, but I've read it resets the solder and could possibly maybe fix whatever's wrong with your card. It's more of a complete last resort.

Baking is useless except if you want to fool yourself in having the card break on you again after 1-2 months.

@OP
It's BGA failure under either the GPU or the VRAMs. They They sometimes work in low resolution because it needs lower frequencies, so it's less stressful on the soldering
and that makes it work for a while.

yea, from what you said, the baking wouldnt do a thing. because it wont load in full resolution, and when it does load, its in 8bit colors. if the baking could make it last till say wednesday the 8th, then i'd go ahead and do it, as thats when my other gpu is suppose to arrive lol.

Yes, it should. If it doesn't kill some other components (baking heats the ENTIRE card, including heat-sensitive components like capacitors) first :P

If your problem goes away after you baked the card it is guaranteed to fail sometime later.

In short, baking a card does not fix your GPU.
