Hey,
I've seen a few websites claiming to be working on bringing GPS functionality to the DS, but I haven't seen anything concrete? Is there homebrew out there that can do GPS navigation? Obviously there are hardware constraints and it kind of surprises me that there hasn't been a GPS-module cart on the mod scene. If GPS is bust, is there a good app for viewing city maps (NYC in my case) with various zoom levels (all the way down to street level)?

Someone started working on a homebrew GPS device and software for the DS.

I'm not anything came of it though.
Yeah that's the one I had seen a while back. I think the person gave up their source code and stopped working on it. Ideally, someone ought to be able to come up with something (hardware or software) that works. I'd love to see a slot-2 gps adapter that runs off of homebrew on a slot 1 card.

no, not like that.. like.. u can upload songs and replace others.. and extract songs.. like, in EBA, say... "September".. u can take it out of the game.. and replace it with another song..

Where the hell did that come from?!?

That was actually quiet funny. Lol

But the idea of a GPS system, even if offline maps would be a cool thing to see, Google earth on DS

But i'm sure there is away to just download a .jpg of a map then load it up on the DS screen.

I've never tried it so I don't know if it has the features you're looking for, but knew I'd read about a mapviewer somewhere...

WHy don't you just download a map of your city or province or state, or w/e, and view it in Moonshell. Download a bunch of maps.
