That sucks your drive died so quickly, was it a MyPasssport? Western Digital is definitely in the top brands as far as reliability goes. If there was any brands to avoid, Toshiba is one of them. I've had a 500 GB WD for over two years and it works. Was it a 2.5 or 3.5 AC-powered drive?
I got a Seagate STBU500301 BACKUP PLUS ,500GB,USB3.0,2.5E",SILVER
today and its the ducks nuts i formatted it to wbfs then later this afternoon decided i needed to get in on dios mios, so i wbfstofat and haven't had a single drama just get a drive solely for your wii and it will last longer $60 and you wont use 500GB for game backups (unless you own every title ever released) so you also wont have to worry about space
