I'm really enjoying how there are no longer iOS games being released that support 2nd gen iPods... I don't get to play Chrono Trigger, Scribblenauts, GTA 3, FF:Tactics, or this...

This is one of many reasons I hate Apple products. Imagine if you couldn't play Pokemon Black and White on your Phat DS, people would rage...

I wish these Capcom games would come out on Android too.

It's nice that they're doing this, but then again, it pisses me off. Ghost Trick is still over $20 on average to buy the physical game for the DS, yet you can get a version that looks better for under half the price, while getting to demo it to see if you really want to even spend that money. They could at least sort of act like they aren't looking to abandon Nintendo products. At the rate this is going, I would expect the next Ace Attorney to be on iOS.

It looks like Capcom is testing the waters, and are liking the results they are getting.

Well it's a bit different. It's more comparable to like cramming in the concept of console succession (like DS to 3DS, not DS to DS Lite) in a much shorter time. More recent iDevices are more powerful than older ones and thus have games that can only work on them.

I'm not really defending it since it's basically a shitty ploy to essentially keep people buying their products and at high prices (unlike other consoles, whose prices are drastically lower than they were at launch when their successor comes out), but it's the way it is.

I would love more 2nd gen iPod support though although I've been flirting with getting a 4th gen device. You can find them for sub-$200 if you get one for smaller memory. Odds are I'll keep my 2nd gen for music or switch over to my PSP Go for that, 8GB is enough for games.

I just bought my wife a 4th gen so she could have some music with her and have a camera handy (though the 4G iPod's camera is shit...)
I think I might talk her into trading with me tonight. Both iPods are linked to my iTunes account and all the shit she uses runs on the 2G so she should have a pretty difficult time saying no.

Looks a lot better than that slap-job they pulled for Megaman X, with its badly redrawn sprites, screen transitions everywhere, and being able to purchase weapons and upgrades.

In all honesty, buying platformers for iOS is never a super idea, especially one as precision intensive as Megaman X. The touchscreen works fine for tons of games, such as your point-and-click adventures obviously and I'll even give it a pass on fighters (SFIV doesn't control THAT badly), but platformers or most anything with "virtual pads" is something I could never get a hang of.
Well, the Sonic games on a Genesis emulator don't control that badly with a virtual pad.

Any love for Android devices?
Hope it gets ported to Android... Same as the Ace Attorney HD collection, I want both of them ported to Android. =(
Ace Attorney is going to android...
But didn't they not confirm the English release yet?
buy ghost trick and they might ;)

you understood what he was saying? I got lost in the double-negative...
Sorry, I'm kinda tired today. Got 4hrs sleep last night D:
But what I was saying is that I thought they didn't confirm the Ace Attorney HD for a North America release yet.

thanks to the vectors, graphics looks tons sharper. this may actually be the first time i feel envy for iOS devices. but i'm a bit of a purist and view pixellated art with nostalgia, so i still prefer it on my XL.
