The line about GEN doesn't make any kind of grammatical sense
The line about M33 is incorrect
The line about MHU is incorrect

GEN Updates coming more than you can say custom firmware

MHU Made by M33 team, outdated and will likely always will be

Incorrect.

Which bit?
No bit. You are correct.

Well sorry, give your version then if your willing to correct mine.

GEN Firmwares - Patched together from M33 modules and based off the work of DAX. Relies on patching and updating to get around new official firmware features, rather than reverse engineering new firmwares as they are released to incorporate them. Lacks some of the features of M33 despite incorporating a patcher.

M33 - Dark Alex's team of coders. The definitive PSP firmware devs who actually understood how to unlock and create new firmwares (they even created their own ISO driver!). Arguably more stable than GEN, although the arguments on this are endless, and generally easier to use with plugins and PSX games as the majority floating around now aren't GEN modified. Newer games require eboot.bin patching, but thus far everything bar one or two exceptions is playable. Boasts the MS Speed Boost feature and the 1.50 kernel for compatible PSP's.

MHU - Made by Xenogears and Becus25. Generally not recommended at this point due to lack of full ISO driver support and various other kinks. A work in progress.

Most of that was irrelevant. There's a MS speed hack for GEN and I use 1.50 kernel for my NesterJ emu. You just lost you're whole arguement. And if you just use the 5.50 popsloader, playing the PSX games is no trouble at all.

Most of that was irrelevant? Do you even have a clue what "so someone please explain what the difference is between-" means? Apparently not.

And the fatmsmod is inefficient compared to the M33 Speed Boost, and GEN doesn't have a 1.50 Kernel. Plus my comment about PSX was based mostly off of what Dean himself had said since it can't be both things from the same person -

M33 is the best for better compatibility for PS1 games.

So, you appear to have "Just lost your whole argument".

Anybody who isn't xist should be banned from posting replies in this goddamn forum.

Edit: To elaborate: xist is the only person who seems to be able to form a reply that actually makes sense, and isn't just random nonsense that was read on some website.

What is it with you and locking topics? -axe- just seems to have totally missed the point of my post and is just another firmware zealot who gets bristly when someone makes a point for a firmware other than the one he's opted for. My post had nothing about which firmware was the best choice (aside from MHU) yet he took it as such.

I love you Law.

Well it seems every time you come into a thread, its on the way to getting locked. Because you always start an argument

I always start an argument? Go re-read my post and then -axe-'s, and honestly evaluate who's starting an argument.

Seems both of you started it off.

All I'm saying is there's no need to stay on 5.00 because everything is on 5.50 as well. Total_Noob and Yoshihiro have made just about everything a normal gamer needs.

I was a hater of GEN for a long time. I didn't upgrade until GEN-D came out. Then when I did, I found just about everything I thought wouldn't be there actually was there.

Dont worry Sochie... I'll help you take on those mean mobile armors as soon as Mr.GEN guy relases D3.

What is he waiting on anyway? One place says a camera and here someone said there were bugs.

never really gave MHU much thought they seemed to have popped up from nowhere tbh xD
Xist- could this have any relation as to why my adhoc is lagging (they weren't b4 when I was on m33-6; I have GEN now)
For instance, GGAC+ never lagged when me and my bro both had M33 but eversince switching to GEN it began to do so
Soul Calibur BD also lags but it didnt b4

I dont know a thing about CFW coding but both me and my bro think it's GEN that made our adhoc sessions lag

ideas?

It may do but you can't be certain unless you reflash 5.00 M33-6, enable the MS Speed Boost and compare. Hellcat's Recovery Flasher makes transitions between firmwares nice and simple so there's an easy way to check...

While I'm looking forward to 5.03 GEN-C, I really wish someone (other than Team Typhoon) would figure out that 6.10 CFW HEN exploit, even if it didn't have an ISO loader (...yet). Metal Gear Solid with no stuttering sound + Brite screen would be kind of perfect.

Unless, of course, Team Typhoon has already said it was based on the Freeplay exploit/only for the PSP Go.

there is no point in having 6.10 until games can not work with decrypters and such
