was wondering if there was any fix the graphical error that happens when playing gba games w/ center and mask disabled? i saw there as a post about it back in 2020 (Twilight Menu GBA screen ripple), but im not sure if there was ever any updates. if not, does anyone know how i can play gba games in widescreen? thanks =)

You can fix it by using the GPU scaling patch in TWPatch, however really you just shouldn't be using GBARunner2 on a 3DS.

open_agb_firm or VC injects (or even mGBA if on an n3DS) will work much better, and all of those are capable of going full screen since they don't run in DS mode.
