Agreed, the old Gauntlet 1 & 2 Arcades were amazing.. About GBP3000 to buy the Arcade machine in the UK at the time. Revolutionised multiplayer gaming... four players!! Always remember the day Gauntlet 2 appeared.. All my friends chose characters like in Gauntlet 1; later we realised we could select any of the characters from any of the positions of the cabinet.. Oh my... four wizards! Great fun! I really hope this turns out great, the 3D versions were bad, rightly so..

I never played two, I was stuck on one forever haha.

I have that midway arcade thing for the PS2 and every now and then I decide to pop it in for the first game. Haha. I miss it now.

...Since it's mostly a port, I can say that this game will be GODLY sir, GODLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty sure this is not a port. From the previews I've been reading, it sounds like it was built from the ground up for DS.

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to it. Not sure how well the formula has aged, but I sure enjoyed the hell out of it in the arcades when I was a kid. Of course, it was one of the first multiplayer, co-op games to come along, and one of the first that was actually fun. How that will translate on the DS...?

From what I read previously, only graphics were redone, it was still simply a port.
