My 3ds is 4.1.0-8 E firmware.

I read everywhere that you need 4.5? Does this mean I need to update firmware?

Also I read something released about firmware spoofing? What it mean?

As for automatic firmware updates, my wifi is disabled. But even if it its on, it should always ASK for updating right? Also if you have an 3ds game that requires an firmware update will it always ASK before updating?

Thank you.

1. No, currently Gateway works on 4.1-4.5.
2. Firmware spoofing is a way to run games that requires a later firmware on consoles that on lower.

You don't need to, but if you want to you can by using a game that comes with 4.5 firmware built in.

That means the card can spoof the higer firmware versions, this allows you to play higher firmware versions without updating.

Yes

Yes

This may sound stupid but I need to make sure, if it supports 4.1-4.5 then it also supports 4.4.0-10U right?
