In that case you can use PkHex on the PC to change the accumulated points as well as have the stamps of the points per photo and unlock all the camera improvements, or also from the same 3DS with PKSM you can modify that in the Cheats section of the menu provided by the application; since the cheat of version 1.2 gives you 2 options: It does not work or it may crash you.

If you jump straight to 999,999, you won't get all the unlocks in between. You should get all other unlocks before using such a code.

They don't because Rising Ruby/Sinking Sapphire are custom ROM hacks and they use the v1.0 version. I have tried patching the 1.4 update along with these patches but then the game goes haywire. You can only use v1.0 codes and there aren't many out there.
