So I've been tinkering with the idea of a vertical theme that uses game carts.

It's been on my to do list but the prospect of maintaining yet another repo and making icons solo doesn't interest me.

I have a unfinished version of the theme(based on my Lumia theme) and just made a handful of icons as a test.

As you can see this is just a vanilla (ish) theme with a small handful of icons.
There are places I can work out how to apply the roundness but overall I think it looks awesome.

Would anyone be interested in making icons?
I have a git with blank cart templates, and have made an .io site with guides how to make vertical icons

I have added a load of cart icons to nxgic repo too.
Obviously I won't get everyone of the games so please feel free to use the template to make your own.

Remember images need to be 256*256
Non progressive jpg and keep the file size under 120kb

I also wrote a helpful guide on making custom icons too
https://sodasoba1.github.io/diy/

I also made a cart theme and all my other themes are here;

And here are the nxtheme files & JSON files;

How are you making the icons ? Is it just a matter of editing images? You could probably automate the process a bit with Python

I see you have a template blank game cart image already which helps a ton

yes. just edit in a photo editor app, make it to 256x256 and the size is not more than 128kb.

just like me, i used photo editing app on my phone and send it via ftpd and look for the tid of the game. make a folder and name it (tid) of the game and paste the icon there oh and make sure to rename the jpg file to icon.jpg
