Hacking Gamcube Saves On Modded Wii

Hi! so I bought this Wii from marketplace, and when i turned it on it just showed the preloader menu. What should i do?

i have a modded wii with usb loader etc. and will probaly install a Gamecube CD launcher for copied games and am wondering do i require a memory card to save or can the launcher save without memory card thanks....
