Hacking FW 2.1 factory reset problems

Plailect doesn't recommend factory resets on 2.1 because of these thingies.

If you are able to to reach those screens, recovery mode should work (since your system is o3ds) but that is your last resort, since you'll land in 11.0.

You can't cart update because the browser is very low in version. You can't really reach home menu. I bet the keyboard doesn't show up because it's not downgraded/bad downgraded -> broken in the process of downgrading.
You shouldn't made a factory reset. Does the GW guide recommend a factory reset?

Just for giggles, try to go through the setup without sd.

Oh and people in here will say it's your fault for using GW's timemachine in the first place instead of a9lh, even if the issue is not connected to it.

Weird System Format will work in Original 3DS and Original 3DS XL without problems in 2.1.0-X (even if it work one shouldn"t make a System Format in it), as said it should be the cause of a bad downgrade and as also said you maybe won"t have anything to do that update it, that since it"s an Original 3DS XL it aren"t supossed to fail but you will end in 11.0.0-33.

Being supposed to work doesn't mean it's advised.

Since the system format doesn't work for OP and it's supposed to work it's easy to see the system is broken somewhere, somehow.
The last action done to the system before the last known working environment was a GW timemachine downgrade. I'm blaming that or a hardware malfunction.

I don't know what is happening with his keyboard and afaik, I don't know a way to bypass/change/fix this.
