Hey guys, is there any hint that Switch 2 games will be playable with the original switch joy cons and pro controller?

Let's say there's a "Just Dance 2026" coming for the Switch 2. There's no reason why the original joy Cons couldn't be used to play the game.
Also for the enhanced Zelda games, they probably would be perfectly playable with the Pro Controller.

I'm just worried I'll have to buy extra controllers just because Nintendo says so...

I don't get how the Ring-Con isn't compatible. If you're playing Ring Fit with a Switch 1 Joy-Con, theoretically, it should just work 🤷🏿‍♂. Would be stupid for Nintendo to block Ring Fit Adventure instead of just displaying a notice that a Switch 1 Joy-Con is needed. Hell, I'm sure most people have a dedicated Joy-Con just for the Ring-Con.

Read the link I posted.
It says that it doens't work with Switch 2 'as a whole' (if you just buy the Switch 2, it won't work), but it works when using the joy cons.

After going back through the link I have to give Nintendo credit for being as detailed with their backwards compatibility situation.

No hints, just a detailed official announcement.

I'm pretty happy the Pro Controller is compatible.
Thanks! But that announcement is not clear enough.
Joy Cons and pro controllers being "compatible" with the Switch 2 doesn't mean much.
A PS4 controller is "compatible" with the PS5, but you can't play PS5 games with it, even though most PS5 games would work perfectly fine with a PS4 controller.

My question is: are Switch 1 joy Cons and Pro controller compatible with Switch 2 games? (of course, except for games that absolutely require features that are exclusive to Joy Con 2 and Pro Controller 2). This question is not really answered in that announcement from Nintendo.

Well, I'm gonna hope the answer is a full yes.
Cause I don't feel like getting a Pro Controller 2 when I already got 1.
At least not initially.
