Hacking ftp server stopped working for me

i used to use ftp server, the most recent blackbox one back when i used it, but now i cant remeber do i need a password or username, its port 21 i should use right? because i can access my hdd0 but whenever i move anything it says transfer failed connection timed out =(

do most people prefer using gaia managers file splitting and transferring service, the file splitter doesnt seem to work for me

Yes. Use the Gaia Manager and enable it with R1 you won't have problems with timeouts.
*you may need to exit and restart Gaia the first time you enable FTP.

Edit: I've never use the file splitter.
