Gaming Framerate hiccuping when playing games

Since everyone seems to be targeting the HD, have you defragmented the HD yet?

Yeap, I did. Okay, I'll try turning vsync off and see if it still happens.

Buying a new HDD will probably be the last thing I do if I cant find a solution

Worth trying a tweaking program to enable Triple Buffer, there was one to force it for DX games, DXtweak I think.

I already turned on Triple Buffer in the Catalyst Control Center

i doubt vsync is the problem, his computer specs are far above the recommended.

This happened to me a while back. To fix it I did the following.

1. Go into BIOS.
2. Find Integrated Peripherals or something to that effect.
3. Look for a setting called USB Mouse Support and USB Keyboard Support turn them off if they are on and turn them on if they are off. I assume that since you are gaming on your laptop you would be using a USB Mouse instead, if that is the case turn both settings on. If the stuttering continues you can turn USB Keyboard off.
