Gaming Found out something interesting about iPhone

I was digging through my old stuff and found a Sanyo CDP-4100CR portable CD player.
Not owning CDs, I couldn't test it.

In the box, there was a small remote-like thing for it that has about 2ft of cable that you plug the end of into the headphone slot and your headphones into the remote itself. I used it with my iPhone to lengthen my headphones, not expecting the remote buttons to do anything.

HOWEVER one button does something - the play/pause button and it actually does what its meant to.
It doesn't work with my iPod Classic though...

What iPhone are you using, 2G or 3G?
I'm gonna guess this will work on the iPods touch also (at least the 2nd gen).
