Hacking Found a crash (video)

I just want to start by saying hello, this is my first post!

So I found this 3ds crash on complete accident.

I am a gba temp forums lurker. But have never actually created an account, so here i go.

I did see that, and I was actually going to post in the *found a crash? post it here* thread but it was locked.

edit: and hey by all means if this turns out to be 100% pointless, mods can delete it. its ok with me.

Do you get a error screen or just a freeze? atm it dont matter but maybe in the future.

screen froze... but now youtube is saying error cant convert file... wtf

but uh, anyways. this didnt happen in the video but i when i first discovered it when i turned the 3ds off and back on the screen was black and it had all the sounds of it being on.

edit: im going to bed. i will just type out what happened then hope that the video will process during the night..


So I was playing kid Icarus and i went to the main menu of the game, then i hit the home button the 3ds and went to create a mii and ended the kid Icarus process, i edited my main mii and clicked save then it asked if i want to use it via street pass and what not then i clicked yes, then i hit home button again after it saved and then click on the notifications icon and then it freezes. freezes 100% of the time.

I can't reproduce this on the latest firmware, 4.0.0-7E

You don't have influence over the code...so it can't be exploited.
