So recently I pirated a 3ds with the system transfer thing, however I do want to keep my NNID on my source 3ds but i already restored nand, so if I wanna transfer back from the 3DS I just pirated, do I need to format the source 3ds? (the one without NNID), and If I do; do I just lose all my NAND info? (A.K.A. Boot9, and the ability to download games)

Reformatted for punctuation.

I recently hacked a second 3DS through System Transfer. However, I want to keep my NNID on my source 3ds, but its NAND is restored. I want to transfer the NNID back to it. Do I need to reformat the source 3ds? If i do, will I lose all my NAND info? (CFW stuff)

Nah, I don't think you need to reformat anything on your first 3DS. Just do the System Transfer back to it.

You sure? Even if the target 3ds has the same NNID?

When you did System Transfer, the target 3DS should not have the NNID. Your source 3DS should have passed its NNID to target 3DS, and then be the one without NNID.

To pass that NNID back to source 3DS, you hot potato the NNID back to it. If the first 3DS has a new NNID made after the transfer, you have to unlink it first before you give its original NNID back.

Check here how to unlink NNID:
https://en-americas-support.nintend...k-a-nintendo-network-id-to-a-nintendo-account

There's also removing it through CFW:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/troubleshooting.html
Removing an NNID without formatting your device

Future reference:
Check out the seedminer CFW install method if you got no ntrboot flashcart and don't like messing with the NNID.
