sorry,as stated above we need full kernel access on the XB one to fully understand what makes it tick (when we recently got A9LH and then sighax BOOM! Citra could play commercial roms at a snails pace) we need full HW/FW access to make an emulator of any system basically

Apparently, it was dumped from a switch directly, throught cartridge command from switchbrew. The question is: did they got the fs access by they own or it was from a well known dev?

Edit: Also those dump miss some part of those cartridge. The team say'd it was the "uniqueness" of the card but I'll redirect here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/first-ni...ge-dumps-released.477954/page-22#post-7462747. According to other posts, there's probably encrypted partition they did not know what to do with

What sorta irritates me about this, is that fs access wasn't already documented. I get the whole "antipiracy" stance, but if they're trying to dump all known information about the system onto a wiki, they should also be documenting how to gain fs access as well, not pick and choose what to keep behind locked doors.

We're not sure if they got this access.... Also it's still an exploit that Nintendo could patch if released.

Actually these (decrypted) ROM dumps are perfect for testing and developing a Switch emulator. So atleast that is a possible positive effect for this release.
